Flowers...

Hi!
Today I went alone with a new friend I met at school to the San Antonio Botanical Garden! I don't like flowers and plants, but it was quite interesting. I bought a flower to put it in my room, and I think it's really nice! :)
I'd love to send some of them to my people, but they would wither. Anyways, when I go back I'm planning to give my family a similar flower.
Thanks for reading and see you soon,
John.

Hi!
Today I went to the San Antonio Zoo! It was incredible, they had a lot of events like the National Bike Month, that was INCREDIBLE! It's also an aquiarium, so I saw a lot of new species I had never seen. It costed me 9$, so the price is worth it. Also, I went with my "adoptive" family, and today all of 'em were really kind to me. We are planning to go back another day before I return to my island, because there are always new events, and we couldn't see all of the zoo... I miss my people a lot, but here I'm having a great time, as always!
Hope everything's right in the island, see you soon people! :)

Today I returned from the Grand Canyon, and I'm now in my comfy bed. I don't have enough energy to do anything, so right after I finish writing this I'm going to my bed. Yesterday we had our last trip day, so we decided to exploit it to its maximum. We went to the Grand Canyon Village, and there we met Joe, a bartender who had always lived there. He invited us to eat with him and his family, and I'm thankful that such people still exists. Then, we went one more time to the Grand Canyon, but the temperature was over 40º C. I had to stop and drink a lot of water many times, and the sun burned me everywhere. But, with all of those impediments, we  stayed there until we couldn't stay more because of the tiredness. Today we've been in the car all day, except when we stopped at a fast food restaurant (the one you are thinking of.

Trip to the Grand Canyon

Today I went on a trip to the Grand Canyon. It is 1197 miles from San Antonio. It took over 18 hours to arrive!

I made the trip with John, Sarah and Marjorie. They are my exchange family, and they treat me superb! The first hours were just too boring, but then I started speaking with Sarah (the family's only daughter, about my age) and from there on, I started enjoying the trip. Marjorie is very kind too, but John is a bit distant sometimes. They are from Wisconsin, but (I don't know why) they haven't told me anything about the reason why they live in San Antonio, so I prefer to avoid asking. As I went with the family, we divided the money spent on the oil (200 bucks) and my part was 50$. But, speaking about the real thing, here's me with the grand canyon behind me!

It's a very impressive place, as you can probably see.

I wish my family could be here with me but, anyways, I'm having a great time!
See you soon,
John.
